A one-year-old dog was inside a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado on Monday around 4:30 p.m. from a parking lot at Fanshawe Park Road West and Richmond Street, according to the police.

The dog is a brown Mastiff-Shepherd mix named Jaxx, wearing a red collar. The truck is black with orange trim around the hood and grill with a license plate of AP44762.

The residents in London are warned not to approach if they see the vehicle and only to contact the police at 519-661-5670. Once seen, prompts can also be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.

A stolen vehicle with a pet inside is few and far between, but not unheard of. One person had been arrested, but police were reportedly still searching for a second suspect as of last weekend, per CTV News.
